Alliteration

This happens when words in a phrase all
start with the same letters. Alliterative phrases are fun to read and say.  They roll right off your tongue, unless of course, they are tongue twisters.
Onomatopoeia

This is the silliest sounding word in the English language.  Try to say it three times fast.  Even better, try to spell it. Onomatopoeia is a word that sounds like what it is.

Character

When you write a story, you get to choose who is in it. You can have a trouble-maker who creates excitement wherever he goes or a boring character that gets thrown into a very tricky situation .

There are so many tools that writers use to make words fun. Hyperbole is like an exclamation point with words.  
Exclamation points are fine,
but words are even better.
